Legal, pensions and money

Pensions being paid while parents are still alive.

I know of a few cases where the offspring are claiming their pension at the same time as their parents.
As they are likely to follow their parents on length of life I think the offspring should work until both parents have been deceased for 5 years and not be paid any pension during that 5 years occupational or state.

And re the OP, of course no one is taking it seriously.

Aka Thu 04-Jul-13 19:14:10

Yes, Nonu I think, no, I'm sure it was because the person reported my comment and now.....

Ana Thu 04-Jul-13 19:13:44

I actually agree! Regardless of whether or not Frank and Bentley are the same person, this thread is one of those ridiculous statements of opinion which the OP knows will create a stir...

janeainsworth Thu 04-Jul-13 19:12:30

I don't think anyone is, Greatnangrin

Greatnan Thu 04-Jul-13 19:08:17

Why is anybody taking this thread seriously? It is obviously a wind up.

glammanana Thu 04-Jul-13 19:00:01

Haven't I seen a post start or contain the words "I know of a few cases where the offspring" somewhere before ?? I'm all with Ariadne on this one, and I'm sure we are not the only ones.?

MrsJamJam Thu 04-Jul-13 18:34:13

My grandmother died at 103. Could anyone seriously suggesf that my parents should have waited until 85 and 82 to receive any pension. What a stupid suggestion.

Ariadne Thu 04-Jul-13 18:20:44

Well, if she did, I will too! I think Frank and bentley49 could easily be the same person. So there!

Nonu Thu 04-Jul-13 17:29:07

AKA , What ??

Wonder what guidlines you broke ?

janeainsworth Thu 04-Jul-13 17:27:28

Frank Strangely enough, I too was born in 1949 but I like to think my literary style is rather different from yours and Gerry's.
No offence intended, of course grin

Another load of old tennis tennis tennis Oh I do like that emoticon - so useful. I wish we could keep it after Wimbledon ends. grin

Aka Thu 04-Jul-13 16:55:00

I had post deleted for suggesting that *** and **** were one and the same. Apparently I was breaking GN guidelines confused

ninathenana Thu 04-Jul-13 16:45:14

Are you volunteering Bentley ??

Grannylin Thu 04-Jul-13 16:37:56

ba dum!grin

janeainsworth

I don't know what year Ana was born but I was born in 1949.
As Gerry sign in is bentley49 could we have been born the same year?.
That may explain why our literary styles are similar.

Frank

I know a lady who is 72 widowed and an ex police officer.
She was caring for her mother until a few months ago until she had to go in to care due to dementia.
Is Gerry saying she should be out dealing with criminals until she is 77+?.
I am saying 77+ because as far as I know the mother is still alive and in theory she could live for a few more years.

Frank

Bentley should be ignored.

janeainsworth Thu 04-Jul-13 16:10:57

Ana Frank and Gerry may disagree but their literary styles are virtually identical hmm

Enviousamerican Thu 04-Jul-13 15:40:53

Excuse me I should say MAY have two profile names. Frank/Bentley 49

Ana Thu 04-Jul-13 15:38:21

Who does? confused

Enviousamerican Thu 04-Jul-13 15:17:39

He has two profile names.

Ana Thu 04-Jul-13 15:06:41

Could be his evil twin, I suppose....hmm

Ana Thu 04-Jul-13 15:06:07

No, Frank wouldn't say that. He seldom agrees with Gerry.

Charleygirl Thu 04-Jul-13 15:04:43

Could Frank and Bentley49 be the same person as that is something that Frank would say. Unbelievable.

sunseeker Thu 04-Jul-13 15:03:53

Gerry only seems to post to say something controversial hmm personally I am not going to rise to the bait smile
