Get fil to open one , I think Halifax are doing a good one. You can then transfer money into it electronically. That's what dd is supposed to be doing for my two next week

Can anyone recommend good savings accounts that I can open for my grandchildren (aged 5 and 9). Their parents have recently divorced, and whilst my now ex-daughter in law has been very good about enabling me to maintain a relationship with the children, they now live a long way away, and I think it will be difficult for me to get hold of their birth certificates etc to set an account up. Any advice would be gratefully received!
