Also have a look at www.Alzheimers.org.uk there is a forum with some very knowledgeable people. They are all very friendly.

Have a look at the age UK website. They will almost certainly have information.

Exh has been admitted to a care home as he suffers from Parkinsons with Dementia after being sectioned for a month. Dd had tried with his (now ex) partner to get him to sign a Power of Attorney form before he became too bad but he refused.

She now has to apply to the court of protection regarding the money and payments for the care home.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge that can help us? Dd has also just found herself unexpectedly pregnant is quite ill so it's a lot of hassle for her when she doesn't need it.
