Tracing old Shares

Sorting through my Father-in-law's paperwork after a house move, I've come across an old share certificate for 600 shares in J Coral Ltd. purchased in 1964 The company managing the deal was the Investment Registry Ltd. I've done an internet search and neither of these organisations come up. Does anyone know where I can go next??

concerned.
i googled J Coral Ltd. It looks to me as though it became Coral Holdings at some point. There is more than one company called "Coral Holdings" One, probably yours, is in Nottingham, there is one in New York and one in Sri Lanka.

I found these reference. I don't know how much help they are, but if you have found nothing it might be a lead.

companycheck.co.uk/company/00745712/CORAL-HOLDINGS-LIMITED/directors-shareholders (the listing on Google includes the words "Previous name J. Coral Limited)

And this link, which wanted me to sign up (free) before I could see it.

Fantastic, not sure why I didn't notice these in my search. I think I'll mail Coral Holdings to see if they can help. You never know, the Father-in-law may be a millionaire!!

Thanks

You were looking for J. Coral, so the Coral Holdings did not ring a bell. I got a link with both names on it early in my search, which helped.

Is it Coral the bookmakers? If so there could be money in it for you!

Knowing the FIL, I expect it is Coral the bookmakers, he loved a bet every now and again.

He probably decided that as they were getting so much of his money, he might as well have shares in the business!

Could be a lucky find.
