HRP is only allowed to reduce the number of required years to 20 as I understand it Grannyactivist so this may be why you didn't have as many credits as you expected.
anniezzz09 a private pension will not necessarily mean a reduced state pension. It is those who contracted out who will be affected. jeanie99 you could not have received enough HRP to get a full pension (see my comment to Grannyactivist) so you would probably have been no better off if you had stayed at home
