Saving account for GC when we live abroad

Could you send money to an Isa account by a bank transfer for them? Or would that not be allowed, thinking you might be money laundering or such?

Does anyone have any advice on starting a savings account for GC when we live abroad? We do have UK bank accounts but pay tax overseas.
