Mine have yielded 0% in the last couple of years!

I haven't had a win for a couple of years and then I've only won £25 I live in hope

I have had some for many years and have received about 3x£25!! I should say I only have 1000, I forget I have them until reminded like just now.

I win around £25 each month and some months it is 3 x £25. It just goes back into the pot and I am also waiting for the big one!

I have had mine for years and not a sniff of a prize!

You must have a lot of bonds, Charleygirl! Never had more than a couple of small wins in over 30 years...

I bought some premium bonds 3 months ago and said if I didn't get anything in 6 months I would move it somewhere else. Blow me down, last month I got £25. So starting from this month, if I don't get another win in the next 6 months, I'm moving the money.

Mine made a 4% profit last year, but are just running at 1.5% this calendar year. Obviously when I win that million on 1 Decenber, this will increase dramatically.

For some reason you do seem to get more wins whilst the bonds are still new. Even though they say this can't happen. I've given up on ours now.

It's always so disappointing to receive the envelope, and then find it's just a twentyfive pounds one.

Did you know you can enter your holder's number on www.nsandi.com/prize-checker on the second or third day of the month and find out a lot earlier if you've won? Or be depressed a lot earlier if you haven't?

Yes, I'm absolutely certain the newer ones have more chance of winning, don't care what the official line is. I bought several more about a year ago and had a flurry of £25 cheques, which is now tailing off.
I think it's a ploy to make us keep buying more

I always look mine up on the prize checker online and recently asked to go paperless.

A couple of weeks ago I had an email from them and got very excited indeed - it said that there was a secure message waiting for me on their site. Oh, thought I, this is what happens when you have hit the jackpot! Needless to say it was just the process when you have a win (£25 this time!) and have opted for paperless.

But I had a happy few moments thinking how I could help my DDs with their housing problems!

I bought my son some £1 premium bonds when he was born in 1970. Needless to say, never had sniff of anything. I think that the newer ones seem to win more. I assumed they were all put in the pot together, but it makes you wonder. My daughter also invested some a few years ago. She also kept on getting £25 wins almost immediately.
With my memory not quite as good as it used to be, I often think, now did I remember to inform them of my new addresses when I moved house.

Just had a cheque for £25 premium bond win today coincidentally.
This will be the third in about two years. Don't think I'm anywhere near 2% profit though.

Absolutely zilch return on mine which I bought many years ago.

I get £25 every few months and sometimes 3 months in a row, then nothing for ages. I get on average about £175 a year. One month I got 3 x £25.

I win almost every month,usually more than one prize.Most in one month 5 but never a big one.Maybe I'll land the million one day.

I am also waiting for the million pound prize.

Over the years, instead of doing the lottery I've been putting the money into a premium bond pot and buying bonds and it's risen to a tidy sum, a lot more I suspect than the lottery would have done. They give an average return of just under 2%. I agree that the newer ones tend to win more often - and also ones from large blocks rather than single bonds so every now and again I cash a load in and reinvest.
