Employers like that usually have their own schemes. For instance in the civil service if your sickness goes up to 4 weeks before the EWC you have to start your maternity period. Is she in a union? If so they could probably advise.

Is it statutory sick/maternity pay or the companies own?

Morning everyone. My daughter is 25 weeks pregnant & is signed off sick from work until she has her baby. Can anyone tell me how the sick pay/maternity pay works in this instance. My daughter is concerned about finances although there is nothing she can do about this as she has a serious medical condition.
