If you live in an isolated place, usually but not always the countryside you will know how bad public transport is Well here's a thing the Driving Standards people - you know those shiny A** * sitting in their plush offices Are trying to put the mockers of those voluntary organisations who help out in the places where the commercial buses won't go. The big bus companies won't go to those places because this mean and parsimonious government have taken so much money out of local authority budgets that the subsidises demanded by the commercial operators are not being paid leaving the voluntary people to grasp the mucky end of the stick If we don't many people will not be able to get out There are some people "who do it wrong" but do you think the DVSA are going after them - not a bit they are going after everyone
There is a consultation, but that is by invitation only, - damn nerve of the people
There is one old lady in my village who will have to go to a care home if her local CT bus is stopped from taking her places
Everyone, especially those who have a friend or a relative who would be stuck without community transport should get behind the campaign to stop this injustice
Write to the CEO Alastair Peoples at HeadquartersThe Axis Building Upper Parliament Street, Nottingham, NG1 6LP and ask him what he's playing at He should be bombarded with mail until he gets real
There is also a national campaign which will tell you all the techno stuff
