Car insurance; the SAGA continues...

I don't think it's confined to Saga. Lots of people I know, of all ages, have had the same trick played on them by insurance companies.

It is annoying, though!

Not only Saga. My car insurance renewal came in very much increased. A quick phone call and they reduced it immediately. This happens every year and it’s a pain in the neck having to do this. It makes extra work for them too so I can only assume that enough people don’t query the increase to make it profitable.

It’s best to do a check every year, loyalty isn’t valued these days and renewals are always ludicrously increased, and reapplying as a new cystomer will get you a different and much cheaper deal. Or a phone call might work, but I usually change, if they want to rip me off I don’t want to do business with them. They rely on our apathy.

I know they all do it; it just annoys me that they know they are dealing with older people...grrr

...the excuse the other year was the government insurance tax, but they can't use that excuse now....

I so agree but silverlining is right they don’t deserve our business if they want to rip us off I always ditch them if the rise is more than I am happy with. If they gave people a reasonable rise they would keep their customers.

saga tried this with me, I got it reduced by £175.00, which was the same as the previous years Insurance, by telling them about the comparison sites prices.

Cheeky beggars.
