Still no joy, cannot access my account but at least I spoke with a real person on the phone and she apologised saying that they still had problems especially with folk like myself who cannot remember the password. She has no idea how much longer it will take to fix.

Good grief Charleygirl I’d assumed most people were able to access by now I see I’m wrong. I wonder how much custom they are going to lose over this debacle.

Luckily tanith it is not my only bank account or I would be having problems. I only hope that my work pension goes in on the 2nd of May and that bills are paid. At least I can use my debit card.

Makes me wonder whether I should have a back up account somewhere else. Glad you are able to manage thus far.

tanith you definitely should- even £200 in a BS. I have that also but very little in it. I did this ages ago when forsome reason I had to wait days for a new card and had little access to any money.

I've just read this thread and tried going into my TSB account (which was fine last night). It's down again - 'Server unavailable'.

Unbelievable, I really thought it was back to normal. A site called Down detector is useful for getting updates from other TSB customers (mugs?)

The welsh lady with whom I spoke intimated that they were a fair distance away from solving whatever the problems are. Thank goodness for Santander.

Sorry, Welsh- mea culpa

Oh Charley, am sorry to hear this. Accounts are accessible. My local branch are wonderful, and I can phone direct - I would phone yours tomorrow if I were you.

Charleygirl Sun 29-Apr-18 18:36:34

Hm999 luckily I do not need the money because I have another account elsewhere- it is just a pain because one day the bank is back to normal, the next they are having teething troubles. I think that they may lose a lot of customers because not everybody like me has another bank account and a building society account.

Mine is ok now - I was able to login yesterday and have just tried it again and it's still working. Hope you're able to get in tomorrow.

Here we are- it is the 4th May and for 2 weeks I still have not had access to my account. I have decided to leave TSB to it and move my account, I have started that process today- a pity as I have only been with them since last November but this is not good service.

And banks are constantly urging everyone to bank on line. Being a couple of dinosaurs we don't, and when I hear stories like this I'm glad we do everything the old fashioned way.

flowersfor all of you being affected by this. It must be a nightmare. How on earth are you managing to cope?

Charleygirl Fri 04-May-18 14:55:27

Smileless I do not have a problem coping because my state pension goes into another account and in case it packs up I have a passbook with a BS so all I have to do is walk through the door to extract some dosh. I have not told TSB that- not that they are bothered.
