anyone know what CREST shares are?

Yes, CREST is a computer based share holding system so if you hold the share certificates in paper form, this will not apply to you.

I am winding up my father`s estate and have to sell some shares via Computershare. The shares are all with one company and I have certificates for all of them. Part of the Sales form asks me to complete the CREST Transfer Form if necessary. I think that CREST shares are held electronically and don`t have certificates - in which case this doesn`t apply to me. Can anyone confirm?
