I will reach state pension age in 3 years time. How long after my 66th birthday before I actually start to receive my pension payments?

Paid in arrears, I believe

I should add, 4-weekly

Couple of weeks, as they pay every 4 weeks (not every month) and you get 13 payments a year.

Your pay day depends on your national insurance number. You can still be paid weekly rather than four weekly if you ask - though you have to ring them up.

I just scraped in to recieve mine at 65 this year. First payment was 4 mnths after my birthday.
If you go on the government web site it will tell you when and how much.

Mine too, Grandmasue. I believe we have to apply for the pension about two months before our birthday but I haven’t looked into it yet. Just what I heard.
