£700 ( up to my limit) spent in an online sex shop last Christmas Day . I thought the call from my CC provider was a hoax . Thank goodness I took it seriously . They might’ve got away with it but they got greedy and tried to go back for more which raised the suspicions.

Someone ordered a few hundred £ worth of Bitcoin on my DH’s card last year too. It took several months to get the money back.

I've had three fraudulent transactions during the life of my credit//debit cards. They are as follows.
A one way 'plane ticket to China.
£1000 of garden decking.
A Direct Debit set up to cover instalments for cow insemination ( I kid you not ).
The first was shot down mid flight so to speak, flagged up as an unlikely transaction. The second, after much telephone grilling, was reinstated. The third, was duly cancelled , but I never got to the bottom of it !
Oh, the scope for puns and double entendre with this last one.
