Argos phishing scam alert

Beware texts purporting to be from Argos saying you have won a gift card. DH received one after shopping at Argos. He didn’t open the message but we checked online as we suspected a scam. As suspected the text was not from Argos and is purely designed to get hold of your bank details etc.

Thanks Caramac. There are so many scams these days that we all need to be wary of every single email we receive. I never respond, even to my bank. If I am unsure I simply call the business on a number I have sourced (not the number on the email) to check if the communication is genuine.

There are lots of these I get them from apple telling me I ve won the latest phone

Thank you Caramac for hilighting yet another scam, so frustrating to get these texts. I never open them. I’ve always told my friends and family if you haven’t entered any competitions to win these type of things then you haven’t won anything, so do not open
