Winter Fuel Allowance

I haven’t had anything I m mid alphabet (name I mean ) not had a letter or email or any communication

Up to a week ago I just had the £10 but not the £200 as yet. This is according to my bank statements. It may have arrived this week, I don't know. Without phoning I wouldn't know.

Grannynannywanny, you should have a letter informing you that the WFA is going to be paid into your account. As has been said, it is probably paid in alphabetical order, mine has yet to arrive. But letter states that if not received by 23rd December then contact them.
Next year, if it continues I should be entitled to the £300 payment.

The Warm Home Discount is £140,00 paid directly to your energy supplier. It is only paid to those in receipt of certain benefits, main one is Guaranteed Pension Credit. Mine has already been paid to EDF and take off my account.

Never received the allowance as France is not considered cold enough.

Not had mine yet. This will be my first year. Do you normally receive a letter prior to the payment arriving in the bank?

I missed my £300 by a week
Don't know if my £200 is in the bank as I've no way of checking unless I ring them up. When the local post office closed down in March I was stumped as I used to get a balance from their ATM----now I just guess and hope for the best until I receive a paper balance.

Not had it yet. I can’t remember when it arrived last year. I pay £200 ground rent on my flat which is due white soon after it usually arrives so they cancel one another out .

My WFA has been paid into my account today.

Ladies were called madam long before that became a term used for women who ran brothels.

Ps he didn't get £300, he got £200 and I got £100.
A single person over 80 gets £300.

You have to be 80 before the qualifying week which is sometime in September.

Yes, DH got more than me and his chair is nearer the fire than mine which seems fair enough.

I have not received my letter yet but no doubt it will arrive shortly.

We are waiting with baited breath to see if DH will get it. He is not British, never worked here and gets his pension from the EU.
Forms filled in and certification sent off (and returned) but still waiting for their verdict!
He is old enough, and resident full-time in the UK so shouldn't really be a problem ...

A lady where I worked many years ago called everyone ‘chaps’ men, women and youngsters.

We had our letters today. Money going to DDs as they need it to afford their heating.
