Great, thanks for the reassuring messages, I only have my banking app on my phone not on my iPad but I feel quite secure now reading your comments and also I have a very peculiar password to get into my account and I do change it quite frequently....

I too love internet banking and have used it from the very beginning and never had a problem.

I gave up the fight when Covid arrived. The banks were shut with some locally never re-opening. I don't need to be wasting paper with statements and envelopes coming through the post either. I have been pleasantly surprised. I always follow closely what I am doing and I always make sure I log out securely. More than that I cannot do.

Love Internet Banking. Only got in a muddle once when I typed in the wrong password twice and it locked me out ! I eventually got a lovely guy on the phone who talked me through the ( complicated ) procedure to get back on. He didn't even say "idiot" once - well , not while I was talking to him !

No, I don't trust it. It's just as easy to phone them.
I receive paper statements, usually a week behind but at least I can keep track.

I'm OK using online banking on my laptop but I can't get myself to install the app on my mobile. Not sure why, but I feel much less confident going online on my phone.

I am the same, I don’t have the banking app on my phone, just my iPad which rarely leaves the house. But I do buy things online from my phone, especially when I’m sat in the car getting bored! I still get paper copies of my bank statement and credit card though as I find it easier to check them on paper rather than on my screen.

I pay in cheques at the post office as my local branch recently closed and now it’s a ten mile drive to the nearest branch.

I resisted for years and then this year it made more sense than having to go to the bank

Twice now my card has been frozen whilst bank checked with me that transactions were genuine. This makes me feel much more secure

Me too been dong it since the beginning but on my mobile- I'm frightened I might leave it somewhere by mistake. I find First Direct to be excellent.

Been online for years it seems. Can’t remember when I last visited my bank.

I have an online banking account and use it for checking my balance each week. The only transactions I make online are transferring money from my bank to an account I have with my building society. I'm rather worried about doing anything else, though.

I've banked on line with Nationwide for some years now. I've never had any problems. So easy to keep an eye on what's going in and out of the account. Lot's of tradesmen like bank transfers now and it's much easier than going and taking the cash out for them.

Yes, I use internet banking. Not much choice as I can’t get to a physical bank most of the time. I’m very careful about security, I never click on email links, etc. and I check transactions and balances regularly.

I’ve been doing online banking since it started on my mobile and iPad I’ve never had a problem. I’m not too worried.

A couple of years ago I left my High Street bank and opened an account with First direct which is purely online. I am quite happy with it but I’m getting a bit worried about all the stories about hacking. The rate they are closing High Street banks as well looks like in the not too distant future online banking may be the only option....Thoughts please
