I’ve seen a recent article that says if you’re divorced and on a state pension you my be entitled to a claim on your ex husband’s pension? They cited a woman who’d received £60,000 doing this. Anybody on here claimed this successfully (or not)?

Smurf, I have been divorced since 2000. Included in the settlement was a monthly maintenance for myself. The only mistake my solicitor made was not asking for it to be inflation proofed.
My ex has retired and obviously I get the payment out of his Pension.
Yes, legal fees are extremely high, but if you are successful, your ex will have to pay most of your costs.
But that’s a risk …..good luck with whatever you decide….

Do you have legal advice and support included with your home insurance policy, for example?
We've recently successfully used this in a claim against a builder for faulty work. Cost us nothing.

You should speak to the pension service and ask their advice.
