Just had a letter re our energy payment for gas & electric. It's going up from £88 per month to £207! This is well over 100% and over £1000 per year, the cost of two holidays for us. I knew it was going up, but this is extortionate. I called the company (Ovo) to check it was correct and apparently it is. We're in the fortunate position that we can afford to pay it, but that's not the point. I just don't understand how families with kids and low incomes will manage. Has anyone else experienced such a hike in their bill?
