DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR WILL

I worked in the legal profession for 40 years, never heard of a solicitor requesting title deeds for a Will. As Oopsadaisy said a copy of the register can be obtained from the Land Registry quickly and easily. Are you sure you haven't misunderstood - perhaps query it with the solicitor

I think I took my photo driving licence and that was it, nothing else.

Didn't need any documents when we did ours, certainly not property documents. you could move house between making the will and popping your clogs.

When we had our Wills done all we needed was our Passports and a couple of household bills.

Why do they need your Property Deeds? (Which are kept at the Land Registry and can be obtained for a fee and sent Electronically.)

A copy of the title deeds of property has been requested by solicitor. Is the document Completion of Registration the one they mean, just called something different.

Thanks for your help.
