December Premium Bonds Winners??

I assume they contact you if you win? I’ve had a solitary one for decades and haven’t changed address.

£25 between us this month - hardly enough for a takeaway!

I won £50 this month. My biggest win was £5,000. That was a good month.

We usually win about £100 a year and get notified by post but nothing recently... We got notified by post so I will be standing behind the door for the next few days....

When I go upstairs and find my number I am going to check just how much I have won this year.
I haven't drawn any out or added to this year so it will be interesting to see how it compares to any interest I might have earned.
I suspect PB will win hands down.

I don't know what kind of investment scheme this is, but it looks like it's almost a sure winner for most of you. Congratulations! Wish we had something like that here.

I do that for me and my 3 dgc, I bought bonds for them a few years ago

I record for a year and then compare year on year, working out the % ages per person

This month 75 for me and 2 x 100 for dgc

Again I won this month- another £75 which goes back to buying more. One of these days I will reach 50K. As far as I am concerned, anything is better than nothing.

We have a very moderate amount invested in premium bonds a long time agoAt the age of 70 we decided that everything should be in joint names so we avoided premium bonds. Now in our eighties we only have joint named accounts. So no isas etc. Hope it will be easier in the long run to sort things out when one of us dies. Wish they issued premium bonds in joint names.

We have both ISAs and PBs in separate names, and a will leaving everything to one another on death, plus we can both access the other’s accounts and have POA for one another so could transfer money out of them if needed (I think - does POA end on death? I hadn’t thought about that, to be honest).

I did think about it when the children were small and wouldn’t allow PBS in their names in case of a big win which left one millionaire child and one pauper😀.

You can set Alexa up to tell you if you’ve won every month. She does make a bit of a drama out of it though. £25 for me again this month, but that was enough to get her very excited.

DH got £25x2 and I got £100, that's the most we have ever got in one month. We have had them for about 3 years and so far the investment is just over what we would get in a decent Savings Account/Bond. It's the hope that one month it will be a substantial win that keeps the money where it is, letting our heart rule our head. I wonder is the December Draw different and more numbers are picked?

Amazing coincidence! I was reading this yesterday and thinking that I might cash in my premium bonds as I haven't had a win for ages. This morning I got a message from them saying I've won £50. I'm so pleased!
Now, shall I cash them in or not? Or maybe cash them in and buy new ones?

After listening to Martin Lewis and only having £350 worth of premium bonds I cashed them in last week because I want my gutters cleaned!! my son who is now 37 had a £10 premium bond bought for him at his christening, nothing….

Apparently you need to have thousands of pounds worth of phones to be in with a chance of winning, that’s according to Martin Lewis…

£125 for me this month

£50 this month. My DH has won nearly every month since buying them three years ago. He has the maximum amount. After not winning for a few months earlier this year , he sold 1/3 and the following month reinvested it and started winning again. Coincidence!

I use the app which tells you when the draw is taking place and how much you’ve won.

We’ve made more on premium bonds than our savings. Thankfully savings interest is now going up.

It does seem that for those that have tens of thousands of pounds in premium bonds, they get a win or two most months. However, for the majority of small amounts of holders it is only rarefluy a win.

2 x £25 for me and £50 for Mr P this month. Doing the sums annually, we are ahead on what we would have earned in interest elsewhere. There is also the hope of winning the big one to brighten up my dull existence.
