When we moved here in 1968, large village/ small town, we had a choice of banks.
The Midland, RBS, TSB, Barclays, NatWest and several Building Societies.
It has just been announced that my Bank, Lloyds , which took over from TSB, is to close soon.
This leaves us with just NatWest and one local Building Society.
I do bank online but know many around my age don’t or won’t use computers.
They can take cash out of the hole in the wall, but many don’t or they can use the PO to take money out.
Apart from this some are travelling up to 12 miles to use their bank.
When did banks decide to stop providing a service for their customers?
Are you finding the same where you live?
