If anyone is receiving a CS pension and has it reduced by the GMB, and added to your state pension. (I have absolutely no idea why), do you know if the state pension you are receiving is correct.

I don’t so have asked for a breakdown.

It might be worth a check if you are at all uncertain.

GMB? My state pension was reduced because apparently I'd contracted out so I get the difference back in my NHS pension. No idea if that's accurate or not.

I’ve no idea - GMB.

I’ll post with any information if it is useful once I hear from the pension lot.

What’s GMB? Boiler Makers Union sprang to mind for some reason….

Gawd knows they don’t explain in the letter. I’m hoping the explanation from the pensions folk will reveal all.

It's not GMP, is it? Guaranteed Minimum Pension?

I'm not sure how that would answer your question, but it might make it easier to find out, if so.

I’ve no idea, but it doesn’t make sense in relation to my pension.

I do get a CS pension, but so far GMB has not reared its head. Whatever it is.

Not on mine either....the only GMB I know is the union.

Look forward to hearing what it is when you find out, Fanny
