In your place I would be far more intent on getting the abusive situation dealt with than making an issue over an internal mail box, no?

This is not unusual. You can’t expect every office which sends out mail to have someone to take it to a Royal Mail postbox. Your letter will doubtless have been in a sealed envelope. No offence has been committed.

Would like the perspectives of others on this please. I recently had a distressing experience in a consultation with a male GP. It may be that what happens to me constitutes sexual assault. I looked up on line and the health authority where I live contracts out to a charity. The charity provides advocacy for the public to complain about care/health professionals. I contacted them and gave the whole story of what happened. I was told that they would email me some information (which they did) and send in the post a consent form. The consent form has not arrived. When I rang and spoke to the advocate she told me that she thinks she posted the form in a posting box in the building where she works but the box is no longer emptied. The charity rents out offices in a big building where there are other organisations and there is one reception that looks after the whole building. Later on her line manager rang me and told me that the letter was posted in a locked box where all the organisations post their letters and then it is emptied by the receptionist who then posts in the letters in the Royal Mail. When I suggested to him that I was concerned that confidential papers to the public are not being directly put in to a Royal Mail box he got a bit stroppy and said that they had never had any mail go missing before in the several years of them being there. I accept human error, we all make mistakes but for an organisation that deals with sensitive information their method of sending out letters to the public does not sound secure to me. What are your thoughts please and does anyone work in a place where there is a similar system and does it work OK?
