Worth checking?

I went via gov gateway last week to check my nat insurance record to find that I have 6 years from 1978 when there was no home responsibility credit, I was getting family allowance at that time and I only have 30 years instead of the 39 required for full pension. I have no idea about the other 3 years

I found the online form to fill, it is an easy form and I have had the response to say that they have received it and I will get a response in a couple of weeks. So far I am thinking that I am one of those women who has been short changed through my state pension, since I retired. I have done some maths with percentages and think I know the ball park figure.

Fingers crossed for you Karmalady, it was good that you checked.
I’m OK with my 49 and a bit years!

I checked mine a couple of years ago and saw that they had added 7 years onto mine for the years that I didnt work ( before the children went to school).

They froze my British pension many years ago and in their great and esteemed wisdom I get about $10 a month. I feel like telling then to stick it where the sun doesn't shine, miserable lot. Wish I had never bothered to work there.
