No advice I'm afraid but commiserations. My son is in a very similar position to your daughter. He moved out of the family home, for which he is is the owner and the mortgage payer, with their young daughter. He has had to move back in temporarily because the house isn't selling and his stbx won't let potential buyers in the home. He is not eligible for any help with legal fees and the costs are stacking up. Its very upsetting for my poor granddaughter and I worry for my son's mental health. There just doesn't seem to be any answers.

Does anybody have any advice on a stalemate situation please: daughter is going through a divorce - she had to leave the family home for her mental and physical health (drugs involved) . One child at uni and 16 year old at home with dad. Husband won’t answer solicitors letters or court summons and daughter’s run out of money for her solicitor. It’s cost her over £5k so far and she’s in an ordinary job renting a small flat. The house has been on the market for over 12 months- reduced by £200k and still not selling. We’re at a loss.
