No, bad driving can happen anytime, anywhere.

Today I have done a journey, an hour each way, including a city I don’t visit very often. I am pleased to report no instances of bad or unsafe driving were spotted. So that must mean it is the school run, commuters and those going out in the evening who drive badly then!

i was nearly pushed off the road this morning when an artic suddenly decided to turn left instead of right. Fortunately I was already thinking "What the f**k is he doing?" and I'd started to pull back.

I’ve been driving for more than 45 years. There have always been bad drivers, the non-indicators, the red light jumpers, the speeders etc. There are a lot more vehicles on the roads now and I do think the huge trucks around today can be intimidating so maybe it just seems that standards are lower.

At least cars themselves are safer, with seat belts, specialist children’s car seats and the in-built safety devices etc.

I was wondering if someone would post this!

Yes, in answer to your question!

3 times, 2 on same roundabout, a driver did not indicate correctly, or at all.
I came out and driver did not turn off as indicated, and drove right on in front of me.

I always give drivers the benefit of the doubt at a roundabout, so nothing untoward happened.
But I will be even more cautious in future.

Not seen any amber light stuff.
In fact, less of that than I used to.
I think I am right in saying, amber means stop now. Whereas in years gone by it used to mean ready to stop?

Sorry, posted it on the wrong forum.
Teach me to check in future!

I so agree with you but wonder why this has appeared under “Legal, Pensions and Money” ?

....or does anybody else think that the standard of Driving has gone rapidly 'downhill' over the last few years. Quite a few drivers don't indicate anymore (especially at roundabouts) and think that you to know which way they are going to go. Some Drivers just seem to ignore amber traffic lights now and just drive through when they are changing to red and some Drivers speed on Motorways is just ridiculous and they are 'right up' the Boot of the car in front of them.
Another thing that really annoys me in the winter frost is Drivers who think it is fine to drive on our roads with only half a windscreen cleared and the rest of the windows are left covered in frost. I know time is maybe short but 'Come on' just spend a couple of minutes clearing them.
Sorry for the rant but have nearly had two accidents today, neither my fault, they must have thought I was driving an invisible car and before anyone asks I am an O.A.P. with 55 years driving experience.
