Does anyone have this kind of insurance?

It is much cheaper than my present insurer and works by a device that will monitor your driving and you are only charged for when you are using your car.

I only make small trips now so resent paying the quote from my present insurer.

I know there is another thread similar but it is a few years old so thought I'd start a new one.

Any advice appreciated.

They are often used for young driver to monitor their driving style, they can monitor speed, destination and time of journey, braking and acceleration.

A driver using a car late at night into the city might be seen as a higher risk than one going shopping or visiting in the middle of the day.

If you are an experienced older driver who always sticks to speed limits they should reduce premiums.

I do drive fast at times- maybe not a good idea then!
