.......is used to fix increases in pensions and benefits next April 6th.

Last year it magically nose-dived when Sept rolled around. What a surprise!

Will Rachel from Accounts try the same trick this year?

How?

Average wage growth for April to July is already known 4.6% and is higher than the Bank of England's projected peak CPI 4% which is higher that 2.5% so triple lock should be 4.6% which will be higher than last year’s increase of 4.1% which was also based on earnings growth.

I was prepared to discuss this with you until your sneering reference to The Chancellor of the Exchequer. You make your bias very clear

Wow! Someone brave enough to admit they're no. 1 fan of Rachel from Accounts. Well, all credit for your "bravery"........Ha! Ha!

Actually I didn't 'admit' I was a fan of her. I'm not particularly a fan of everything which the Labour government is doing. However, I see no point in trying to have a reasoned discussion about politics with someone who is ranting. And your response to me proves it

Agree with you Grandmabatty no reasonable discussion can be done with someone who shows their bias from the start.

Sneering is not the way to encourage people to engage with you, Windmill.

I'm very grateful for every penny I receive and do my best to spend it in my local shops. Our benefit system meant that I was able to leave an abusive marriage and make a fresh start.

Well said, mum2three!
