I usually get notified of Premium Bond wins on 5th or 6th of the month. It used to be much earlier. Is this because Ernie is very old and has slowed down or because there are many more Bond holders and winners? Maybe they’re given out in alphabetical order so Mrs Abbots gets hers well before Mr Young? Do we all get notified on the same date?

I received notification yesterday morning and my DH about ten minutes later. We have surnames starting with
‘F’. Always a good message to receive!

watermeadow if you download the NS&I app you can look at the results on the day/morning! they are drawn. I only get the email a few days later.

You can check online when the draw is made. I don't bother and wait for the email. I did wonder about alphabetical notification as a good friend - A name - gets informed before me lower in the alphabet. I don't have the full amount but want to increase it. I'll leave investment till end of October as the new bonds won't go into the draw till December.

It's usually the second of the month unless it's a weekend or Bank Holiday.

I think someone visits you the day before if you've won a million £ - so I've heard.

I checked on 2 October and I had won £75.

We live in hope of that knock at the door, not happened yet grin

The first I know about a win is when an envelope with a cheque in arrives through the letterbox. I don't know if Ernie is getting slow in his old age, but he definitely seems to be getting stingy. I rarely get a win these days.

I still have the 3 £1 Bonds I bought when I worked at the P.o. for a while and the very generous gift of a £20 Bond my Grannie gave me on my 21st Birthday, way back in 1969, (none of which have as yet won a prize, but maybe one day...).

I finally won £25 last year with my solitary bond. It was given to me as a Christening gift 67 years ago.

I too use the app and can check immediately, hoping I get a winning video clip!

Someone has won a big prize this month, not the £million , with a very small holding, I can’t remember the details.
I try to remember to check on the 2nd or 3rd of the month and won £100 this month.

We've always been out so I think they move to the next person on the list ☹ and give us an occasional £50 or even £100 as a consolation prize.

No, they wouldn’t do that surely?

Won the million with £100 holding bond (I think)
