Mis-sold car finance

Sorry, can’t help as I’ve never had car finance. However, if claiming is as tedious and long winded as claiming for mis sold low emission diesel engined vehicles then you’re in for a very frustrating time.

My husband and daughter have both claimed. They used a template letter/form available on the 'money saving expert' website.
Both are awaiting payment along with everyone else who have put in a claim. I tbink October has been mooted as a possibility for actually compensating people.
Try to avoid using a firm to get it back on your behalf as they will take a buge chunk out of your compensation. You could even end up owing them money for their 'services'.

I put in a claim free of charge - no records found. Only this year used a different free site and behold two deals were identified but, no details disclosed. Used the Moneysaving Expert recommended site, got so far completing then site wanted details of vehicles which I don't know! Good luck and well done to snyone who manages to get award.

I’ve used Locksley Law, I really couldn’t be bothered to faff on and do it myself and it’s money I wouldn’t have got so I don’t mind paying them to sort it out. Did it online after seeing tv ad they haven’t hassled me, they just sent updates via email.

I did it through Martin Lewis website. Not heard or had anything yet but I can live in hope.

I am going to do it myself. The companies that do it for you charge a high rate of interest.

I always use finance if the deal is good, Ive got 2 claims no win no fee, if I get some back great, if I don't I don't.

On a new finance they declare the commission, in my case it is £850, the dealer gets that, one way or another they will get money out of you, its nice to get some back.
