Email today tells me they're setting up Click to Pay on my Royal Bank debit card which will mean I can just click to pay (funnily enough) for online purchases instead of entering card details.
That's because my details will be saved somewhere and certain retailers will have a special relationship with the Royal Bank enabling the payment to happen.
I don't like the sound of it and will be cancelling that option.
I never use a debit card online anyway because, if hacked, it gives direct access to the current account.
This reminds me of what happened decades ago when banks notified customers that many of their standing orders had been converted into direct debits - so much more convenient, except then someone else controls it, not the customer, and no-one had been asked to agree to it.
Farage fails to report 5 million gift!
Is it rude to not finish a book club choice that was selected by someone else?
