Did you have to untangle a relative's finances after they died? National press feature, fee paid

Hello Gransnetters,

I'm Dan Yorke, founder of Capsafa, a small UK company that helps families keep track of their financial paperwork. I'm working with an independent PR consultant on a feature for national newspapers about what happens when someone dies and the paperwork isn't where it should be.

We're looking for people willing to share their experience.

You might fit if, after a death in the family, you:
- couldn't find the will, the deeds or other key documents
- discovered an account, pension, policy or Premium Bonds nobody knew about (or suspected one existed and couldn't trace it)
- spent months chasing banks, insurers or NS&I for money that should have been straightforward
- found that something had been lost, missed or cost the family money as a result

Ideally this happened in the last five years, or is still going on. You don't need to have used Capsafa or any other service. We'd also like to hear from anyone whose missed insurance renewal or lost document turned out to be expensive.

What's involved: a short, friendly phone chat first with no obligation. If you're happy to go ahead, a journalist may interview you, and you'd need to be willing to be named and photographed. A fee of £150 is paid for your time, and you'd see your quotes before anything is published.

If you'd like to know more, please email me at [email protected] with a line or two about what happened, or send me a private message here. I'll reply personally, and nothing you tell me goes any further without your say-so.

Thank you kindly in advance.
Dan
