Hi oxon70, i used to live a little to the north of Oxford. Also live in Dundee for four years. Small world. I've never been to Welwyn either!

I was born and grew up in Edinburgh, but now live in central London

I know the area, Oxon70. DS2's family are there. I worked in Dundee for two years in the '60s and now live in Cheshire. Never been to Welwyn though.

I'm 15 miles south of Oxford, and 71 this year....
...but I was born in Cheshire and lived in Dundee for a long time. I went to primary school in Welwyn Garden City.
I do identify with my Scots ancestors, though I have Irish, Welsh and English too - in about equal proportions!

I have lived in Suffolk for 24 years and love it, now in Stowmarket. Great part of the country to live and bring up children. Daughter and family have just moved here from Huddersfield so very busy being grandma!

I spend a few weeks 'oop north' each year and hope to spend more time if and when I ever get to retire!
