Hello! I just joined and so just saying "hello" from deepest, darkest Devon!

Ariadne Thu 16-May-13 18:43:29

Being geographically inept, I have to ask someone to tell me where would be the best place to meet? I am all for it! [smile) and happy to get going.

Grannylin Thu 16-May-13 19:07:28

Exeter would be best, then the Somerset lot could come...and also anyone who can fly to Exeter..anyone in Edinburgh,Manchester!

Ariadne Thu 16-May-13 21:40:37

Now that sounds good! What do the rest of you think? And, before I step on any toes, who runs the local GN?

Anyone near or in Exeter? If we get moving, we could start a new thread to catch other people.

Galen Thu 16-May-13 22:31:02

I might even make Exeter. I would stay overnight though. It's actually only just over an hours drive for me. We used to keep our yacht on the Exe at Starcross.

Galen Thu 16-May-13 22:31:52

Of I could train it?

Ariadne Fri 17-May-13 04:21:45

Let's keep this going for a while, but I will start a thread later. Is it OK with you all if I try to pull this together? It would be so nice to meet. smile

So - now that I'm back in one place for a while - Grannylin and I were talking earlier about a meet up. Anyone interested? grin

LizG Sun 23-Jun-13 19:17:34

That will teach me not to pick up a thread without reading it through, sorry blush I think it dawned on me when you were talking of meeting after Chrissie. Oh dear will hide under the bed for a while smile

Anne58 Sun 23-Jun-13 20:16:54

Give me a postcode, a satnav and an automatic car......................

Ariadne Sun 23-Jun-13 20:22:36

susieb755 Sun 23-Jun-13 22:23:16

Can Dorset Grannys come too....?

grannyactivist Sun 23-Jun-13 22:28:25

I shall be away (2nd honeymoon) from 31 Aug to 14th Septemeber.

Ariadne Mon 24-Jun-13 06:23:09

Will start making list, ga to make sure you can make it!

Elegran Mon 24-Jun-13 07:15:16

Could possibly combine it with a few days with daughter and family in Bristol. Wonder whether Bristol could be persuaded to hold a meetup within a few days of the Exeter one?

henetha Mon 24-Jun-13 10:30:51

Dull Devon here. Where's the sunshine? I'm going to Exeter tomorrow
shopping with a friend. If an Exeter meeting is arranged sometime that
would be fun.
Looking forward to the new Ikea (are we allowed to mention names like that on here???) planned for near Exeter. smile
