Norbreck Castle Nightclub Blackpool 1970's

Hi HMH - I did ask the question at the recent North West meet up and I too have spoken to the hotel but no joy. Some people do actually think it was called the Castle. Looked on some pf the Blackpool history sites but no info there either.

Thanks seasider. It's one of those, that when I hear it I will know it. It wasn't the Castle, I am sure it was two words.

Yes numberplease it was previously called the Norbreck Hydro, but the nightclub had a different name.

My BiL thinks it was called Disco. He's searched around but had no luck finding anything so far. He says there was a DJ called Chris C......? He does have a good memory, so might come up with more yet.

Thanks whenim64, I will keep a lookout and hope that your BiL comes up with the answer. I have a feeling that it has someting to do with ships or sailors, but I could be wrong.

Hi Jessy Trader Jack's was at the Imperial hotel. In fact the DJ from Traders Eddie Gee has just opened a new soul club in Blackpool

unless you mean the pub over the road at the back which was the mariners
