And some of them blush aren't very confident drivers blushblush...

As the people who are likely to come to the East Midlands meet are quite widespread we have to find somewhere accessible for all of them, that's why we picked EMA.

Not very mobile so hoping for a meet in/near Loughborough
How about Wetherspoons,the Amber rooms?

Tegan Thu 15-Aug-13 15:16:41

The Thistle is a safer bet than the pub. I'm terrified of motorways as the roads leading to them round here are all a bit complicated [for me anyway!]. I might never find my way home again.

I'm happy to go where ever suits everyone. If we decided to go somewhere else, I would be happy to meet at, say, the services on the MI near the airport and guide or ferry. Is the pub good Tegan

I don't mind because I really enjoyed it last time. sunshine

specki let us know when you are next around and we'll organise something - we'll miss you. Keep strong!! smile

Anyone got any dates in mind?

I can find out if there's a bus from Nottingham to Sawley Marina. If so ,depending on times, that should be possible. The Thistle is also convenient as there are plenty of airport buses.

Duh! Was it? (Where was I? Do I go there often?) grin

Don't know when I will next be over - possibly Christmas but not sure about that even - too much going on here. Have a lovely time y'all. xx

Tegan Wed 14-Aug-13 11:09:39

I'm not sure where the shuttle bus passes from where trendygran lives; there is a pub called The Plank and Leggitt that might have a bus stop outside [which is next to Sawley Marina and just off the motorway].

Tegan Wed 14-Aug-13 11:07:16

Isn't that where we met last time?

gracesmum Wed 14-Aug-13 11:04:43

Where is TheThistle?

Tegan Wed 14-Aug-13 10:46:03

In that case I think the Thistle would be best [I liked it there] because the bus takes you straight to it. Also [I'd forgotten this!] I'll have a bus pass by then so I could take the bus as well smile. What does everyone else think?

Definitely up for another meet , depending whether I can get to the meeting place by public transport. October would be a good time, apart from Wednesdays (except half term) when I Volunteer.

kittylester Tue 13-Aug-13 10:42:51

Bump - or we will be terribly, terribly exclusive grin

kittylester Mon 12-Aug-13 16:31:34

Mid Sept onward works for me with the proviso that DD2 has a due date of 2nd October. Can't do Fridays because of volunteering.

I wondered about the Radison? Anyone any experience? Or there is the Hilton. Or we could meet somewhere and go somewhere else - if you see what I mean? grin

nightowl Mon 12-Aug-13 15:32:21

Definitely, work and child care duties permitting smile

gracesmum Mon 12-Aug-13 14:50:02

I'm up for it in principle - allowing for distance and accessibilty and being free natch!

Tegan Mon 12-Aug-13 14:47:16

I'm pretty tied up till mid September [Oct would be better cause I'll be retired then; hurrah!]. Other than that anything would suit me [as long as it's easy to drive to; and I mean easy confused my driving being what it is!

kittylester Mon 12-Aug-13 14:35:14

I really enjoyed our last, very exclusive meetup, so is anyone up for another one? Maybe not the same place but somewhere in the area of EMA?

Suggestions for dates, times, venue welcomed! smile
