Last few days of holiday and something lovely crops up to take my mind off Autumn!
I will be on the London to Exeter train getting on at Westbury probably. Will wear something distinctive should there be other Grans on the train

I too can vouch for the chips, and Theseus had the West Country cheese platter which was enormous.

Ariadne - I may well be visiting DD1 in Gloucestershire in October. If I am, could I join you - perhaps I could be put on the 'B' list? I can get to Exeter from Cheltenham Spa station (I think)

Mill on the Exe, Exeter. (There's a good web page with sample menus, from wraps and sandwiches to full meals)

It is half a mile from Exeter St. David's station, and there seem to be plenty of taxis. Good parking on site. They do have a wedding on as well, though..

There is good disabled access at street level.

Nice conservatory dining room overlooking the river.

We had lunch there today and liked it a lot.

Have made a provisional booking for 12, and need to let them know sharpish if numbers go up.

You do NOT have to live in the SW to join us!
