I am sitting around doing not-a-lot (B all) as for some reason I fell unaccountably tired. Can't think why!

Glad everyone enjoyed themselves. I had too much planned, of course, and not all of it happened, but there is always next time (What excuse can we come up with next?)

That sounds like such a good get-together. Glad it went well.

I had to leave early to get my train back to Newcastle, but the five hours I was there in the company of the other GNers just flew by!
Lovely lunch, interesting talks on Badgers, Genealogy, the Children's Hospice movement in Scotland, and fiery debate following Granny23's presentation on Scottish Independence!
Lovely to see Marelli, Thatbags, Gillybob, Glassortwo, Baubles, Granny23 Moomin and Elegran again, and to meet GillieB, Galen and Tegan for the first time, not forgetting Cari Hope I haven't missed anyone out and sorry not to have had time to talk to everyone else !

I set the alarm for 6, hit it hard when it went off and resurfaced at 6.45.

I was up at 6.00 too - have hardly slept a wink

And there was i thinking i'd need an alarm clock to wake me up this morning! S'later, dudes !

I love Edinburgh and Gransnetters are among my favourite people, so combining the two is my idea of a really good time. Have a blast - and take lots of photo's.

I am here in Edinburgh and looking forward to tomorrow having spent today with the crowds in this marvelous city... PS the weather's better than Colchester.

Sounds as if you are all going to have a great time. I can feel the excitement rising already. Have a wonderful get together everyone.

I'll have you know that this is a cultural event, no blackmailing will be possible! We have a conference room, we are each paying a "delegate rate" for the day, we have a projector and a screen and a wi-fi connection. We will be hearing from GN members about their hobbies (and hobby horses) and from a couple of other speakers. We will be served tea and coffee and cakes and biscuits, and a finger buffet lunch. Cari is coming from HQ to make sure we behave ourselves.

I hope that you all have a superb time and please do not get thrown out of hotels because of your rowdiness. Hotel bars will be thinking that Christmas has come early. I am Scottish and worked in Edinburgh for a couple of years in my youth.
