We are hoping to have a meet-up of NW members - and any visitors who would like to be involved - at the end of November or beginning of December. We have enjoyed previous meet-ups at the Coach House at the Trafford Centre where you can indulge in a little gentle Ch.....shopping. So... if you are interested in attending (of course you are!) would you let me know which week you would prefer and which day of the week would be best for you. We can narrow it down later, in the light of your replies. Looking forward to seeing you all again. The more the better. smile

I cannot drive at present, is there anywhere that is otherwise accessible?

I have a few days work in, but hope to work round that, and other commitments to join in. Nellie, where are you. I'm north Manchester, if that's any help. If your'e south manchester, perhaps one of our south manc members could pick you up.

I'm sure we can work round that Nellie. Have you any suggestions? The reason for the TC is that it's fairly central. In a few weeks would you be able to get on a train to somewhere (Wilmslow?) where one of us could easily pick you up?

I would love to join you if possible. Either the last week in November or first week of December would be convenient for me. Tuesdays and Thursdays are days I would prefer to avoid, but I'd try to 'go with the flow' to suit the majority.
Meanwhile, I'm arranging a lunch in Chester on 8 November (see the Chester meetup thread on the main Gransnet site) and any NW members who would like to join us would be most welcome.

Hi all NW Gransnetters. I know we were planning another NW meet-up in December. When and Anno were heavily involved with the efforts to find Greatnan following her disappearance and her tragic accident so I just want to confirm if the meet-up is going ahead or if , under the circumstances, we should wait until the new year.

Good question seasider. I suspect we're into january now - be great to meet up

whenim64 Thu 28-Nov-13 14:10:01

Could we make it January, please? We sort of lost our way with the upset about dear Greatnan, and now it's got rather last minute for a few people. But do go ahead and arrange something meanwhile if you would like to?

Hi When . January sounds good because it is always a bit gloomy after Christmas so it would be good to get together then smile

Iam64 Sun 01-Dec-13 09:45:59

January sounds good, it'll be good to get together once we're over the 'busy' period. I'm about to make a list of the gifts I've bought in recent weeks, they're all neatly stacked away, but can I remember exactly who I got what for, can I fiddle.

I must apologise for not getting this under way. when is perfectly right - the stress of Greatnan's disappearance and death knocked the stuffing out of both of us. January would be a good time to get together and pick ourselves up after Christmas.

Iam64 Sun 01-Dec-13 13:10:30

No need to apologise anno, Greatnan's disappearance and death were awful for her many cyber friends, but for those who had met her, and enjoyed her company, it definitely would knock the stuffing out. I suspect all of us have been drawing breath a bit, and January sounds perfect. Do you want one of us to choose a venue and meeting place? Someone mentioned the Tragic Centre as a possible meeting place, as it's convenient for so many of us in the north west.
