I was born and brought up in Hoyland and Elsecar, before running away from home to my paternal grandma in Rochdale, Lancs, aged nearly 13. Now in Lincolnshire, since 1977.

trendygran, I lived for seven years in the much maligned Midlands and missed the area when we moved to the flat lands of Norfolk. There is some lovely countryside in Middle England. Don't knock it! Mind you, Cheshire is pretty special grin

Born and brought up in South Yorkshire. Now stuck in the nowhere land called the Midlands . Would love to return to Yorkshire, but maybe a bit further North !

Not had any reason to move no longer spoil heaps (thanks to Thatcher) ,Grime and dingy all gone. Live within 10 minutes from a country Park. Well away from Meadowhell the only downside are the amount of hills and when you have trouble walking any distance.
I'am in the Burmuda triangle between Rotherham,sheffield and Worksop near junction 31 of the M1
