Elegran and I are working together on the December meet up where I have been investigating the potential for a theatre visit. Elegran will arrange a venue for a meal either before or after once she knows where and when. There are already a few people considering this who are on the previous link of Edinburgh meet ups. Any more interests will be warmly received. smile

grin!! We'll have a wee bit of a walk from the theatre to where we'll be having our meal (unless we jump into taxis). So comfy footwear, too!

janeainsworth Tue 02-Dec-14 20:18:38

Looking forward to it. I shall probably wear what I wore to the last Edinburgh December meetup, since it is unlikely that anyone noticed what I was wearing grin

Cosy and comfy for me too, baubles!

Something cosy & comfortable I would think unless you're thinking sequins & sparkles Elizabeth?

Are we all ready for the 18th - any suggestions about what to wear? wink

This is going to be such a lovely day - I'm so looking forward to it! Talking of being 'caught short' - which we weren't really - my friend once had to do a wee in her husband's 'hard hat', when they were caught up in a traffic-jam. Thankfully they were travelling in his lorry, so she was sitting higher up than she would have done in the car blush

You're on Maggiemay51 I've had to leave a message at the ticket office cause I was told there was a long waiting time I've also left an email for Kitty who phoned me this morning. Why can't things be simple - I wanted to speak to someone direct. I'm therefore expecting a call or email in return to confirm we have the reserved ticket. I'll let you know by private message how you can pay me for the ticket not to worry. Who's been having a wee wee at the side of the road then - done it myself on several occasions - not recently I hasten to add wink

Maggiemay51 Mon 13-Oct-14 14:27:10

Yes please to ticket.. Can I send you a cheque?

Marmite I approached from the M8 and if you had been there at same time you would have seen Wee Daisy (my car) on the hard shoulder and little old lady scrambeling up the embankment (right up to the top and over).. I just couldnt wait any longer (lets hope I'm not on Utube) blush

Hi there Maggiemay51 would you believe I've just had the theatre on the phone this morning saying they still have 2 reserved tickets and will hold one until close of day tommorow. Mixed messages from the weekend staff me thinks. The ticket price is still £26.50 what do you think of that? I'd be happy to purchase a ticket for you if you haven't already done so.

Marmight Mon 13-Oct-14 11:45:30

I got stuck in that queue too Maggie. It took us 2.5 hours to cover 3 miles. angry I know the work has to be done but funnelling 5 lanes into 1 is madness. The only thing which kept us amused was the sight of men (no women, note) hopping from one foot to another and finally peeing by the side of the road grin.
Hope you manage to get a ticket for the ballet.

Elegran Mon 13-Oct-14 10:41:05

Get the ticket first, then we'll update the numbers for the meal - I am sure they can fit in another little one. You can come to the meal anyway, of course, even if you fail to get a ticket!

Maggiemay51 Sun 12-Oct-14 23:46:10

Just back from a weekend away got stuck in a 3hr que for the Forth Bridge angry sad

I will phone to see if I can get a Ticket.. What about the meal?

Marelli Sat 11-Oct-14 17:56:34

I hope you'll be able to come with us, Maggiemay51. smile (and a fingers-crossed-emoticon)

Maggiemay I've looked into buying a ticket for you for 2pm on December 18th and unfortunately I will be unable to get a ticket for the group discount. The tickets I hold are for level 1 L18 - L25. If you can please contact the Theatre direct - Box office 01315296000. to purchase a ticket near to the rest of us if possible. I'm not sure what you will be prepared to spend should the tickets be more expensive. I look forward to seeing you on the 18th December, it'll be a fab night in the twinkling streets of Edinburgh. smile

Maggiemay51 Thu 09-Oct-14 11:00:20

Fingers crossed (toes too) hmm

Elegran Thu 09-Oct-14 09:16:39

I'll get on to Vittoria's to add another seat - possibly two more seats, in case someone else wants to join us. If the extra one stays empty we can use it to play musical chairs.

Elizabeth1 Thu 09-Oct-14 06:44:39

Maggiemay51 I'm certain there will still be available seats for the Nutcracker. I'll book a seat on Saturday when I come home from taking care of my bonny new grandson. Update will be provided ASAP. Welcome on board we'll have a great time. smile

Maggiemay51 Thu 09-Oct-14 01:51:23

Can I come or am I too late sad (meal aswell)

Elizabeth1 Wed 10-Sept-14 22:12:10

Thanks elegran all dusted down now. I'm sure though if anyone else wants to go there will still be seats.
