Who's up for a North West Meet-up?

I will have to have another look at this I am out wednesday 25th evening as well.

Everybody still ok for the 25th? I will book somewhere for around 12.30pm . Anybody else who wants to join us is very welcome.

March 25th is good for me, looking forward to seeing you all. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

Nellie just a thought if you happen to travel to Lytham on the train,,when I took GS to Lytham last year I almost got off at the wrong station, just make sure your familiar which one to get off at..I'm sure seasider will point you in the right direction.

hello seasider big smile from me. so glad i havent missed it and wednesday 25th is perfect for me as i have theatre tkts for the thursday. Dont know St Annes that well but will find you all. Any idea how many are going. If anyone from my area St Helens wants to share travel just get in touch.

If there are trains from Preston, then I will see how I am. I've had a relapse with the breathing. I will get to meet you all though sometime.

Hi everybody how about Wednesday 25th ? I will find somewhere close to the station in Lytham st Annes for lunch about 12.30pm. For anybody driving I will give directions from the M55. Marylane you haven't missed it. Nellie there are trains to Lytham from Preston too. Maeve and Genielight will be coming to meet everyone as they are fairly local so should be a few of us.

So disappointed as it looks like i may have missed a meet up as i have been off line or is there one planned for 18 or 25 March. If so i ill be there. Looking forward to meeting up for a long lunch. Would someone keep me in the loop pls. Thanks

I can do 18 or 25 March, Wednesdays much better for me than Thursdays (dog training….)

Yes, include me for a Wednesday but Thursdays are out now I do the school run that day.

Its not a direct line that is me not reading it properly change at Preston.

I have never been to Blackpool and there is direct train from Crewe. I am interested.

Wednesday or Thursday seem best days so how about 18/19 or 25/26 March? The 26th is not as good for me as I have a dentist appointment but I will change it if that date suits everyone else. When I have a rough idea of numbers I will book somewhere close to the station if anyone coming by train.

We had a lovely little lunch today in Blackpool . We would like the next North West meet up to be over this way so Genie and Maeve can meet some other Gransnetters and hopefully Saffie can also attend as she could not make it today. If you can get to Preston Anno there are trains every hour to Lytham. There is a very nice Weatherspoons walking distance from the station and lots of other eateries. You could make a day of it ladies and visit the shops or take a walk on the green by the sea. How about arranging a date before Easter?Wednesday or Thursday are the best days for us

Wish I could come, Seasider. I would love to be at the coast. Another time, please. I will research the trains because I am not keen on driving further than local destinations.

Hi everybody .The Blackpool meet up came about as we realised we have a few new members on the Fylde Coast. Sorry it was short notice. I will try to think of somewhere over this way that is accessible by car and bus/train. If you want to be away from the centre of Blackpool there are some nice places in St Annes /Lytham both of which have railway stations and buses from Blackpool/Preston and only about 10 minutes from the M55

when I'd be on the train though so couldn't get to a remoter location.

It's a plan! I may go early to see the sea

How about us all arranging an additional northwest meetup to yours, that is nearer to Blackpool, in a few weeks' time, seasider? With plenty of notice and some suggestions for preferred dates, hopefully more of us could make it. Maybe a pub/restaurant on the outskirts of Blackpool so it's easy to park and drive back to the motorways for those who have longer journeys back home. Time we returned the compliment as you and others have travelled far enough for our get-togethers in the last couple of years.

Although I live in the North East, I have to travel to any meet ups, either in the east or west. I would have loved to come to Blackpool but I've only just seen the thread. Plus I am going to visit DD and family for half term in Scotland and will be travelling on Saturday 14th. I'll try to come to the next one.
