Anyone in Carlisle? I will be moving there soon - hopefully before the end of August - as separating from my husband. My daughter and grandchildren, my son and my brother and his wife all live there. I am waiting for a bungalow as I use a wheelchair.

I am a Christian, have a mad sense of humour, am lively and interested in many things: birdwatching, singing, playing board games and coffee-drinking, amongst other things. Hoping to transfer to the chaplaincy team at the Infirmary, may volunteer elsewhere when I've settled in my new home. [Sunshine]

Oh, I love Carlisle. Visit there once a year.

Sorry snowy I'm a bit confused. You did mention on your other thread that you were waiting for a suitable property to come up, but although you said there were problems in your relationship, I don't remember reading that you were actually officially separating from your husband?

(Could be wrong, often am blush )

phoenix I am confused for the same reasons. There was no mention of separation on the other thread. At least August is very close.

Sorry, thought my other post was getting too long, so cut it short..

Yes, heard this afternoon I'm likely to be moving very soon - just putting some feelers out in Carlisle - going to be a big change!

So are we to assume that you have now spoken to your husband, and he knows that he will not be moving with you? I expect he has responded in some way?

Will you be giving up the house where you currently live in order to do a sort of "swap"? I understand from friends who have HA places, that that is how it usually works.

(Could be wrong again)

No, to both. Details on other thread..

Still confused, I have looked at the post on the other thread, but it doesn't make things any clearer confused

I'm getting exhausted hopping from thread to thread.

Glad that it is all getting sorted.

snowy @ 19.00 you said that you thought your other POST was getting too long, did you mean "thread"?

If so, you should look at some of the other threads on here! They only get cut off after 100 pages ! shock grin

As a new member, you will probably be amazed at the length and depth of some of the "conversations" !
