Direct walk from station, but yes a good 10 mins. It was just a suggestion- as we always love going there. Enjoy, wherever you go x

Mrs Bridges is perhaps a little small, gj andvI think something central is better then Tegan can come too lf she is able.

Tegan Mon 25-Jan-16 11:22:21

At the last meet up a couple of us came by train, so something central is much better for me. Having said that, I'm the person least likely to be able to come in March.

My favourite in town is Mrs Bridges in St Martin's Square- great food, but not very large (Victorian style/bijou)- so best book in advance with Kristian (owner and chef an ex student of mine who always makes me very welcome). Won't be there myself this time though. Have fun.

Clarendon Park is great bimbadeen but might be a bit difficult to get to if anyone comes by public transport Eg arriving at St Margaret's. Can you think of anywhere in town?

bimbadeen Sun 24-Jan-16 18:14:28

Queens Road, Clarendon Park, near Victoria Park Leicester has a number of cafes/restaurants on street parking, no fee..I can make some enquiries for you is it just a cup of tea/coffee or are you looking at a meal for a lunch???

any idea how many for? realise that is like asking how long is a piece of string! date day time???

I'm happy to take on board any suggestions made. I can't think of anywhere off hand. Somewhere largish and relaxed I should think?

Ok I have picked up the other lady - now where shall we go?

Tegan Sat 16-Jan-16 14:20:57

Definitely come if I'm around but we don't know when we'll be in Northumberland over the next few months.

kittylester Sat 16-Jan-16 14:08:59

the one on the other thread! Sorry, can't remember her 'name'.

Teetime Sat 16-Jan-16 13:34:45

Which other lady - haven't heard from Tegan either she is usually up for this?

J52 Sat 16-Jan-16 09:38:24

Sounds ok to me. We're hoping to have completed on the house sale by then, but who knows!!

I can easily be around.

x

Up to now we don't have anything major in the diary except I do the school run on Wednesdays.

Can we get these two threads amalgamated so the other lady doesn't get lost?

Teetime Sat 16-Jan-16 08:57:01

Shall we go towards the end of March and hopefully the weather will have improved. How about 24th March?

J52 Fri 15-Jan-16 15:51:09

granjura Fri 15-Jan-16 15:13:20

Teetime Fri 15-Jan-16 14:23:12

Hallo Leicestershire and any one else who wants to join us. I have posted something on the local thread about a meet up in March. Be lovely if others can join us too. Last May we met in Carluccios but we could try something different - any suggestions- any dates I should avoid? Also please have a look at the local page I have been adding a lot to the listings and have chosen some Editors Picks for your interest. I shall put more in the diary as soon as the year picks up a bit and we want to go out or perhaps take the grandchildren somewhere for a treat. be good to hear from you soon. smile
