The date is set so I have started this new thread just for people to let me know if they are coming and I can then book a venue where we can have lunch and a good chat.

Please let me know as soon as you can. Thank you.

If only I had been a member earlier as I would have loved to meetup. Next time hopefully, if another London meet is arranged smile

Sweet pea, I would love for it to happen. I feel bad not to have run with the banner - not very likely as I am sitting with my feet up ALL the time. And fighting with crutches. I feel incredibly stupid that I imagined I would be out and about a week after a foot op. My I.Q must be diminishing rapidly, or my optimism increasing. Is there a way of contacting one another without having to start a new link? It seems rather medieval to have to start a new thread with no guarantee of anyone ever reading it.?

sweetpea Tue 14-Jun-16 11:18:39

Sorry that this didn't get going. Perhaps we could do it some other time? smile

michellehargreaves Tue 07-Jun-16 18:07:33

I hate to be a drop out, but had my foot operation yesterday and it is unbelievably painful. I am an old school stoic, but can't see myself making it down the steps at Zédel with a grotesque plaster cast and two crutches, also my howling might put the other diners off their lunches. Sorry girls, please let's try to do it again when I am leaping like a spring hare, although that is feeling unlikely at the moment.
Sorry.

I am up for the central London meet up on the 14th June. I live in Harrow.

ninathenana Wed 01-Jun-16 12:34:59

What is the head count, do we know ?

Ana618 Mon 09-May-16 23:06:40

Hi to you all ?
Just joined the site . Coould I join you guys next time you meet up?
Would definitely join you if I wasn't going to a bachelorette afternoon tea psrty on that day but looking forwards to other opportunities. ?

sweetpea Sat 07-May-16 18:20:58

I'm a definite for the 14 June, I live in West Malling, Kent, so would prefer the central meet up, the 31 May is half term so DGC duties. Don't really know the area where the proposed restaurant is, so wouldn't feel confident about organising!

Penstemmon Fri 06-May-16 19:27:32

I would love to join you but have fixed DGC commitments on Tuesday/Thursdays so cannot do 14th .

Maybe next time. Have fun.

michellehargreaves Thu 05-May-16 20:35:30

I'm in Sheen.

grannysyb Thu 05-May-16 17:19:48

I could do either May 31st or the original date of 14th June . I'm in Teddington, where are the rest of you?

Grannyknot Thu 05-May-16 14:58:42

Shall we take a count for starters?

I'm happy to meet in the SW area too - those dates are fine.

I'm sorry I cannot offer to organise anything ...

michellehargreaves Thu 05-May-16 13:19:06

I would offer to take over the organisation but the op might just get in the way, safer for one of you I think.
Would any of you SW London ladies fancy an informal get together between 31st May and 5th June?

michellehargreaves Thu 05-May-16 12:58:15

Has anyone done a headcount? We don't need to book a table until a week before at the earliest. (Zedel is almost my second home !)
I will be having my foot op on 6th June, but even if I don't feel I can make it on the tube, I could always get a cab.

suzied Thu 05-May-16 12:49:46

I would come but Tuesday is the one day I can't do.

michellehargreaves Thu 05-May-16 12:33:29

Charleygirl: it is in Sherwood St

Grannyknot Thu 05-May-16 08:01:53

But who is organising it? confused smile Does anyone know?

sweetpea Wed 04-May-16 18:07:19

I did indicate a while back that I would like to attend. Sorry that Teetime cannot make it, but look forward to meeting everyone.

grannysyb Wed 04-May-16 16:13:56

Would like to join you if there is room?

Grannyknot Wed 04-May-16 15:32:22

Sorry that applies to venue. I think the time was agreed as 12 noon.

Grannyknot Wed 04-May-16 15:31:23

sweetpea I think teetime had kindly taken on the role of chief organiser, and now cannot make it on that date. So I think the answer to your question is "No".

Teetime is that right? smile

sweetpea Wed 04-May-16 10:41:02

Has the venue and time been arranged for this meet? I'm confused.

Teetime Tue 03-May-16 09:30:58

I'm really sorry but I cant come now - hospital appointment - I do hope it goes ahead though and you have a good day. sad

Charleygirl Tue 03-May-16 07:45:43

carrot7 this is an open invitation for anybody who can make it to central London on the specified date. No special occasion, just meeting others and having a good time.

carrot7 Mon 02-May-16 22:46:32

Hi new to this site. New adorable DGS 6 1/2 months. Love reading the daily forums. Is this an open invitation to meet up with other grans? What is the occasion?
