East Midlands meet up?

Unfortunately the Leicestershire meet up planned for early Spring did not go ahead for a number of reasons. I thought perhaps widening our area and meeting up say in Nottingham or Derby may be more appealing then Leicester as we don't appear to have many members. Anyone interested for some time in the early Summer?

I'll go with whatever suits others, but would prefer it not to be a Wednesday. I don't know Nottingham either.

I`ll go with other peoples recommendations as I don`t really know Nottingham apart from shopping there. Any day will be OK for me.

Teetime Wed 15-Jun-16 15:21:52

OK so far we have a Tuesday in Nottingham in September - any choice of restaurant and date?

Greyduster Wed 15-Jun-16 15:19:58

It's possible I could do Monday or Tuesday - it wouldn't hurt DH to do the school run on his own smile!

kittylester Wed 15-Jun-16 13:47:18

I'm happy with Leicester, Derby or Nottingham. Lunch is good. I prefer not to do Wednesday.

starbird Wed 15-Jun-16 12:39:59

Me too

If it`s definitely Nottingham, I`ll almost certainly be able to come.

Greyduster Wed 15-Jun-16 09:55:34

If you're setting up something for September in Nottingham, I might try and make that as long as it's not Monday or Tuesday. smile

I had already realised that I would not make it as my knee is too bad to walk anywhere but who knows what September will bring for me.

Sorry all I think this is down to me. I had originally tentatively suggested the 28th June but now find I cant do that as my diary has been hi-jacked. I see the London one has been put off until the Autumn too- June is a difficult time as so many people go away before the school holidays. Shall we then try and set a date for September in Nottingham-there are lots of restaurants - we could meet for lunch to make it easy for travelling to and from- any thoughts?

starbird Tue 14-Jun-16 22:28:55

I could make Nottingham too. Not too early in the morning though. Do you meet for lunch?

How do we know what the final arrangement is?

numberplease Tue 14-Jun-16 00:46:54

Nottingham would be best for me, as it`s direct, Derby there are 2 changes, but you must go with what the majority would like to do.

numberplease Thu 09-Jun-16 23:50:07

As long as I can find out that I don`t need to change trains more than once, I`d love to give another meet up a go.

I don't live inStaffs, but might be able to get to Nottingham for a meet up. Would you kept me know where and when, I will try and make it.

Teetime Wed 20-Apr-16 15:36:16

This is all looking good. I have it in my diary. smile

June 28th fine for me as far as I know. Several good places to meet in Nottingham. Thea Caffee near M.+S is good for food and can stay in there a long time. just a suggestion.

granjura Tue 19-Apr-16 21:16:57

Hope you have a lovely time. We are coming over mid May, but with one week staying at Rutland Water with visitors- time will just fly.

Another time maybe- will give notice when next over in the autumn x

annsixty Tue 19-Apr-16 19:18:14

I have pencilled that date in so it is free ,health issues permitting.

kittylester Tue 19-Apr-16 09:53:50

28th good for me. Nottingham is also fine - though if Derby suits more people, I'm happy to do that. If any one needs collecting on the way (railway stations etc) I can do that too.

Teetime Tue 19-Apr-16 09:08:26

June is good for me as I am away and/or very busy in May - is that Ok - shall we go for Nottingham. How does June 28th sound?

trendygran Mon 18-Apr-16 19:48:00

Definitely up for meeting in Nottingham or Derby. Can easily travel to Derby if Nottingham not convenient. Moving house mid May so happier to maybe wait until June . or later.

Teetime Mon 18-Apr-16 14:15:56

This is sounding very positive I can do any of these centres.

annsixty Mon 18-Apr-16 10:33:01

Either Nottingham or Derby would be the same for me. Trains are good from here.

kittylester Mon 18-Apr-16 10:11:57

Ann, that would be great. We need to hunt for a venue that is accessible from all directions.

Still not completed on new house in Leicestershire. I am hoping for early May!

I will keep an eye out for anything you arrange.
