Anybody up for a North West meet up before we get busy with the Summer holidays?

thatbags Fri 03-Jun-16 06:50:12

Hope I can meet up with some of you when I'm in Poulton late July-early August smile.

Garden centre sounds good. Only Thurs 23 (voting day) is good for me that week. Any day except Weds 29 (grandparent duty) the following week.
Shall we fix a date now before anything else crops up?

Nana3 Fri 03-Jun-16 08:05:06

thatbags I'm in, fish and chips and a walk on the beach at Cleveleys is a good afternoon out for me, with or without DGC smile

I was talking about June there, sorry if that's too soon.

seasider Sat 04-Jun-16 19:56:28

I agree Nana let's set a date then sort out where we are going.

rubylady Sun 05-Jun-16 00:29:49

Can everyone make the 21st July?

The garden centre will not be bothered if we take time chatting in the café, it's quite big and gets lots of groups of ladies in sharing their time.

Let me know please. smile

Nana3 Tue 07-Jun-16 16:26:24

That sounds like a date settled, ruby where is the garden centre?

rubylady Wed 08-Jun-16 00:14:29

Hi, it's Bradley Fold Garden Centre, Radcliffe Moor Rd., Bolton BL2 6RE.

I went today for some compost and of course, the obligitory coffee and asked in the restaurant if they minded us being there. The lady said if we want food it come out at 11.30am and to get there on time so that we get the full choice. I'm easy with a meal or a cake and coffee, so what time suits others? flowers

The garden centre is fine by me ruby . Either lunch or cake and coffee, it would only take me half an hour or so to get to Bolton.

rubylady Sat 11-Jun-16 00:04:29

Shall we make it about 11am then and then we can get settled before food comes onto the counter? Is that ok for everyone? The people can get back if on school runs etc and still have a few hours to natter. smile

Nana3 Sun 12-Jun-16 23:18:18

Yes 11am fine by me ruby. Looking forward to it now. Hope everyone else can make it.

Babs1952 Sun 26-Jun-16 03:10:58

Hi I haven't had been on for a while as I've been busy getting sorted! I would love to join you on 21st July and I think Bolton is quite near here too!

rubylady Sun 26-Jun-16 04:18:32

Great, it would be lovely to see you. We are meeting at 11 am, Bradley Fold Garden Centre, Radcliffe Moor Road, Bolton, BL2 6RE. It is a beautiful garden centre, has the normal flowers, frilly, pretty household items, garden furniture, pets corner of birds, rabbits, hamsters etc., and a wonderful restaurant.

You do sound very busy, I don't know how you are doing it all. It is a very exciting time, isn't it? But it can be tiring so remember to get some rest too. What sort of home is it, bungalow, flat, house, apartment? There will be some lovely things for you to find at the garden centre for your new home. I'm still putting things together and we've been in 20 months now. I also have a "bottom drawer" under the bed for when my son leaves and then I can pretty up the house a little, make it more girly. It is endlessly exciting. smile

Nana3 Sun 26-Jun-16 20:17:17

Hi Everyone, that's such good news Babs, I'm very happy that you're joining us. Sounds like we'll be doing our bit for the Bolton economy ruby, well I know I will.
Time flies, it will be our meet up in a flash.

rubylady Mon 27-Jun-16 01:08:23

I need something to look forward to, I have to have the biopsy done again for abnormal cervical cells on the 18th. The didn't get the right cells last time. Never mind, chin up. Lovely cream cakes and wonderful company to look forward to. smile

Nana3 Tue 28-Jun-16 07:56:47

Very sorry ruby, wishing you all the best for the biopsy. flowers

mazza245 Tue 28-Jun-16 09:00:38

Thanks so much, Nana3 or pointing out this thread, I haven't done much looking round on here, just read the email generally! I live in Garstang, north of Preston but I can drive over to Bolton for the meet up. Sounds exciting! That is two days after school breaks up which might be a bit difficult as I look after my GD (it seems endlessly!) but I will make it one way or another. Look forward to it.
