Is this now widespread in schools? My DGC told me this morning that they were having a lock in practice today. When I questioned them about this they said they had to lock all the doors, pull down the blinds and hide under the desk in case a stranger came in. They were OK about it being nine but I should think it is enough to give a younger child nightmares. A necessary practice in today's world I suppose. The price we pay for progress.
