Meet up . Westfield , Stratford, East London

A meeting near Trafalgar Square would suit me as a shorter journey than Stratford.
Chelsea Physic Garden was mentioned above, which is lovely in good weather but very expensive for lunch and not the easiest place to get to.

Good morning, Westfield Group. Hope you all had a good weekend and are all well. If people have any ideas about visits or activities do let me know. I think meeting once a month is a great idea and we could also arrange some spin offs. Can anyone think of a good Christmas outing? Perhaps meeting to see the Christmas tree in Trafalgar square then going on for a meal.
Or a more local event.
Any ideas welcome.

Yes and if anyone has any other ideas for Meetup do let me know. Perhaps a visit to the Chelsea Phsic Garden or even Kew!

Loopyloo, if I remember correctly JL in Stratford has some big round tables that seat more. Might scout it out next time I'm in Westfield.
A wee visit to the V&A would be good for a future meet up. They do nice lunches too!

Who was it who suggested a trip to the V& A?

That would be fine. We sat over coffee until about 12.30 then had lunch and finally left about 1pm.
But it so informal , people could arrive and leave whenever it suits them.

I've only just found this thread but may be able to come to your next meetup though I may be a little later as it's quite a long journey on the Overground.

I was very nervous on the first Meetup, but people were so friendly it was great.
I felt quite sorry for some of the other older people sitting on their own and some of the couples did not look very happy either.

I had such a nice time yesterday at our meeting. I have no friends of my age and to meet you all and chat away made the time pass so quickly.

Thank you for organising this. If anyone else is nervous, as I was, about meeting a bunch of strangers, please don't be. It was a very welcoming group.

Was a really lovely day, Lovely people - so much to talk about. Really looking forward to the next time on 23rd November.
